LOS HERMANOS

Formed in 1997, Brazilian rock band, Los Hermanos clearly had a sense of direction in the way they created music . Although they broke up back in June 2007, their music is still played throughout Brazil, as well as internationally. Earlier this year, the broken up band came back with a one time performance, opening up for Radiohead at a 2-day Festival. With hits such as "Morena", their music will continue to be played and be inspiration for others.

Check out ex-guitarist Rodrigo Amarante's new band, Little Joy. Members include The Strokes' drummer, Frabrizio Moretti and Binki Shapiro.

HOW CAN I EXPLAIN IT?!

To think that in about or week or two, I will take the role of Michael Scott in the AVID Dundee Award Ceremony, kind of frightens me.
I have been in AVID for the last 4 years- my whole high school experience. My teacher assigned me to take full responsibility of the "silly awards" but that just sounded so damn boring so i said "why can't we name it the Dundie Awards?"
No one had any idea of what i was talking about. That's how lame my school is. ahaha.
So this week i will be organizing the awards and prepare myself to take on the coolest role-Michael Scott.
It will be at Claim Jumper this year i believe. Would have been so much better if it was at Chilli's...But i'm just saying...

WHEN I RAN THE KISSING BOOTH, I GAVE AWAY MY LIPS.

i love this song.

TRAILERS.

Lately, all i've been doing is watch movie trailers-movies i've seen and those i haven't. But my main concentration is on horror films right now. I especially love watching those from circa '60s & '70s. Here are a few of the last i've seen (i've seen all except for the first one).

Children Shouldn't Play with Death Things (1972)

Dracula (1931)

Poltergeist (1982)

Carrie (1976)

"i can see your dirty pillows"
"they're breasts mama....breasts"
haha that quote never gets old.

Frankenstein (1931)

Rosemary's Baby (1968)

The Shining(1980)-personal favorite.

"come play with us Danny....come play with us"------ Creeepy.

"Pet Sematary" (1989)

Psycho (1960)

I'll list some more later.

TAKE OFF YOUR SUNGLASSES

This is my morning song. Every school morning, i turn on my tv, choose Subterranean dated 5/7, and play the video repeatedly. I brush my teeth. Press Pause. Take a bath. Press play. Put on the day's outfit and tie my shoes. I then eat, looking at the tv screen, mesmerized by the video. Weird thing is, its not even a great video. Its simple. Maybe that's why i like it-who knows. Morning's preparation is done. I head out.

Gee, that harmonica gets to me everytime.

SAT-YOUR DAY

"There is nothing, I think, more unfortunate than to have soft, chubby, fat-looking children who go to watch their school play basketball every Saturday and regard that as their week's exercise”

“Life is a wretched gray Saturday, but it has to be lived through.”

BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS!

Cuckoo's Nest.

I really do love this movie. The character of "McMurphy" is my favorite of them all. I especially think its hilarious when he begins to dance in the beginning of the film. Those who haven't seen this classic should watch it. I recommend it.
