I first came across Laura Marling on the track "Young Love" by English band, The Mystery Jets. Shortly after, she appeared in Noah & The Whales' "5 Years Time" as back-up vocals. My sister began listening to her solo tracks these last few days and I had completely forgotten how truly remarkable her voice is. At just 19 years old, Laura Marling is slowly beginning to make a name for herself with tracks such as "Ghosts" and my personal favorite "New Romantic" ,not to mention the incredible cover of Neil Young's "The Needle & The Damage Done". Her delicate but somewhat growling voice and heart-filling lyrics are what draw fans of folk music to her art of music.
